When Vienna gave Maryna Niherdus (Farba.at) a chance, she took it, leaving her job managing a restaurant to work with colors in a whole new way. In this TheDBpost Podcast episode we follow Maryna’s interesting journey, from her love of fixing old things to becoming an expert in coloring videos. She tells us about a tough project in ballet school that changed her career direction, and how she’s learned the importance of making connections, even in the real world, not just online.
Maryna tells us about her experience of working with Blackmagic Cloud, making sure colors look just right on screens. She talks about the challenges of working with clients who don’t have the same fancy tools, making sure their ideas come through perfectly. As someone from Ukraine living in Austria, Maryna shares how she’s had to adjust to a new job market during difficult times, switching from working far away to closer to home, and how she keeps a good network of people to work with.
At the end of our chat, Maryna talks about why she decided to work outside her house, which helped her focus better and balance her family life. She tells us why she likes using DaVinci Resolve and the tools she uses to make videos look great. And she gives some advice for people just starting in the industry, and how her perspective on work and life has changed because of the ongoing war.
